Francis J. Kong is one of the most respected inspirational speakers in the Philippines. He is an entrepreneur, a speaker, a corporate trainer, a broadcaster, a writer, and an achiever in his own right. He is Filipino born and raised in Manila whose inspired life continues to send ripples in the lives of those aspiring to be successful in life, career, business, and more.
How He Started
Before he came to be the successful man he is now, he started with humble beginnings. His first venture started in garments business. While the brand rose from local recognition to national fame, he discovered his passion along the way which later took him to his life’s turning point. That is, uncovering his ability to write and speak. Francis discovered that he had the desire to share ideas on how to have a well-lived life and that his calling involved helping people become successful.
His Calling
Driven by that passion and desire, Francis started to speak in many different places in various settings. His vocation inspired him to conduct talks in schools and in organizations for free. The entrepreneurial landscape also did not take long to notice Francis. They invited him to do seminars and training, much to Francis’ joy as he was fulfilling his life’s purpose as he has been called to do. Averaging 120 talks per year, the man who had started as a businessman had later established a name for himself as an inspirational and motivational speaker to numerous audiences.
Responding to The Call
Today, Francis’ clients are some of the country’s A-list companies and businessmen. He ceaselessly responds to his calling by helping people improve their lives, work, and career. Because of his remarkable philosophies and principles, he has been invited to many of the major business conventions and conferences both here and abroad and has been awarded:
- Co-recipient of the Anvil Award for Excellence for the staging of the Dr. John Maxwell Leadership Seminar Series
- Recipient of the Year 2006 Gold Quill Philippines Award of merit for Public Speech category sponsored by The International Association of Business Communicators
- Recipient of 2008 Dr. Jose Rizal Award for Excellence in the field of Journalism, among others.
He remains true to his mission to motivate people to live a life of purpose and fulfillment. Through writing, he pushes pen to paper in spreading the message of success in his 18 books published over the years. His written works are also highly-anticipated by his readers in the weekend business column in The Philippine Star. He is also the President of Success Options Publishing Company.
Through broadcasting, his inspirational talks continue to shake up the myriad of listeners in his daily radio program “Business Matter”. It has run for over twenty-three years already and was awarded the Year 2007 special citation by the Catholic Mass Media Awards.
On His Success
Francis’ life is a great example of how success means living a life with purpose and finding a sense of fulfillment in doing so. At the age of 62, he is more than just a name, but he is in himself, a living testament of a life well-lived.
He is a corporate trainer, a business adviser, and a personal life coach. He owns consultancy and publishing companies. He thinks, writes, talks, and moves according to his passion for great ideas, writing and speaking. He fulfills his vocation by moving according to his intense desire to inspire, motivate and transform people’s lives.
