The Quality Of Relying On Yourself

By Joshua Clayton

Face it, total self-reliance is power. With that definitive statement made, I begin this article and say this: Reality to be productively controlled, must be implicitly obeyed and obey fully or you cannot even utilize gravity to get yourself to walk. Indeed, only God and total existence itself have total self-reliance, the rest of us must get different degrees of help however high our level.

When I think of what power means to me, it means just what I said above, except that we must all work toward it. Some are aware of this fact, and some are not aware of this fact. However it goes though the rule applies uniformly to all of us from total existence and God on down through the lowest levels. We must work if we want to get higher, and be lazy and unknowing if we want to go lower.

I was walking through the streets up to where I am doing this article today, and thinking deeply about this fact: The rules apply equally and equitably to everyone, and all of the genuine benefits go to the best at following the rules and working with the rules. Sure, there can seem to be a such thing as “cheating” to idiots, but the genuinely intelligent compete better within the rules instead of irrationally trying to cheat, trick, and get a “surreptitious advantage” over those who honestly compete better within the rules.

So, total reliance on yourself within the rules of any game is power in that game, and that includes life and existence also and I will go even further: Ultimately, we all get away with nothing, especially those who cheat. The cheater does not need to get caught, they are aware of what they did, especially when “they get away with it”. The mirror of reality is always there, I will say hauntingly or should I say that the mirror within your reality is always there staring at you within your soul, mind and brain.

Reality is as good or bad as we make it and however slick you are or “successful at cheating” you are. “They” may not know that you did it. Others may not see a thing, but, you know what is really going on in reality. The reality of all situations cannot stay hidden forever, especially from yourself for good or bad, cause and effect, all that counts, and what matters. All that counts is reality, all else is an attempt at cheating.
